January Topic and Winner:
Everyone has their own meal routine before a race. Here are a couple of ideas shared: peanut butter and jelly sandwich, orange, banana, Belvita cinnamon sugar biscuits, oatmeal, or ciabatta with honey and bananas and Biscoff crunchy cookie butter spread. Don’t forget the water.
Our Customer of the Month Winner, Amanda Podlucky, shared that for shorter races it’s just a banana. If it’s over 6 miles, she adds bread with peanut butter. Either way, she always has a cup of coffee at least 30-45 minutes pre-run to get her moving!
Nutrition plays an important role in getting you fueled for your training runs and your races, so pay attention to your body and your needs to ensure that you put yourself in the best condition possible.
