It Can be Easy Being Green

“It’s Not Easy Being Green,” once said Kermit the Frog in the 1970’s song. 
It’s not easy but together we can do it and we hope our runners and walkers will embrace our new processes and efficiencies for the sake of the planet!

In honor of Earth Day and continuing on an earth-friendly trend, all Track Shack races will now have an e-race packet.  What on earth is that?  All the good and helpful race info including the course map, last minute race information, special offers and race promotions will arrive directly to your inbox a few days before the race, saving thousands of pieces of paper!

Typically, the Run for the Trees 5k race packet contains five pieces of paper.  For this race alone, we’ll keep at least 7500 pieces of paper and approximately 1500 big envelopes out of the landfill!  

Participants coming to Track Shack can expect the same service-with-a-smile from our race ambassadors who’ll hand out t-shirts, bib numbers and safety pins. There will just be less to carry.
