The energy of downtown Orlando came alive on Thursday evening, April 30, as 12,665 runners and walkers gathered at Lake Eola Park for the 32nd AdventHealth Corporate 5K.
Representing over 489 corporate and nonprofit teams, participants arrived ready to move and celebrate a shared commitment to workplace wellness.
The familiar course took on a fresh feel this year, guiding participants through vibrant downtown streets filled with music, DJ hype and nonstop encouragement. Cheer squads lined the route, pizza was delivered mid-race, and coworkers ran and walked side by side, taking in the sights and sounds of Orlando’s neighborhoods.
Back at Lake Eola Park, the finish line buzzed with excitement as company teams reunited, grabbed food from local trucks and celebrated their accomplishments together. It’s the one night each year when companies step away from the office and come together to build relationships and invest in wellness.
Tre Pepper, running for Team FedEx, claimed the overall men’s title with a time of 16:28, while Emily Davidson of Forum Architecture & Interior Design topped the women’s field, finishing in 18:29. In the CEO division, Dewitt Revels of Walker, Revels, Greninger, PLLC led the category with a quick 18:44, and Melissa Corp, of My Soxy Feet, captured the women’s CEO title in 24:56.
AdventHealth led the way for the second consecutive year with the largest team, bringing 1,481 participants to the start line, while also contributing the most meals (10,651) to Second Harvest Food Bank. In total, the Corporate 5K community helped provide 88,000 meals (and counting), reinforcing the event’s impact beyond race night.
