June 9, 2020 - January 10, 2021

MarathonFest’s Summer/Fall Training Session is a 3 day-a-week training program for the Half and Full Marathon distance. The Summer/Fall session accommodates the first-time full or half marathon runner, as well as, the veteran runner. Our 3 day-a-week training schedule targets speed on Tuesday, strength on Thursday, and endurance on Saturday. During the week, runners have the option to attend either the morning 5am workout or the evening 6pm workout. These workouts are not done by pace groups, just show up ready to run. This schedule may be supplemented with additional run days for those desiring more mileage volume.

All runners are assigned to Pace Groups for the weekend run. Each Pace Group has one or more Pace Group Leaders that are responsible for sending their pace group a weekly email, planning the running route for the designated mileage, and setting the appropriate run pace. These pace groups provide much needed company and support for running long miles. Anyone interested in joining the Summer/Fall Session must be able to run 4 miles and be able to fit in with one of our existing Pace Groups. Runners should be able maintain a minimum of a 12:30 min/mile pace.

Please check out our Pace Group Leader page BEFORE registering. Be sure we have a Pace Group that fits your training needs as the training fee is non-refundable! Pace Pace Groups Leaders »
