Charles Cook has been involved in multiple capacities in the Orlando community, most recently as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for The Christ School. Additionally, he served as the head coach for The Christ School’s cross country and track teams for the last seven years. Charles and his wife Amy will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary this year. They are the proud parents of Chas who will be a senior and Owen who will be in 8th grade at Trinity Prep. Charles has run the Disney, Boston, Chicago, Jacksonville and Marine Corps marathons as well as competed in multiple triathlons. His entire family is engaged in running, skiing, hiking, cycling and swimming. Charles has been with BB&T-JRD since 1989. He is a Senior Vice President of Employee Benefits. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Florida State University. Prior to joining BB&T-JRD, Charles worked on a successful statewide political campaign and then a successful congressional campaign that elected the first Cuban-American to Congress.
