Q. Why did you choose to participate in this event?
A. At AdventHealth we encourage everyone to embrace feeling whole in mind, body and spirit. The Corporate 5K is an amazing opportunity for our team members to feel whole, sharing new experiences with their coworkers, whether they are running, walking or cheering from the sidelines. We are excited to build our AdventHealth family and celebrate our team spirit with the Orlando community again in 2023. We take pride in our work, and the SimplyIOA Corporate 5k presented by Key HR is a great event to showcase that.
Q. How many people work in your company?
A. AdventHealth has 39,000 team members across our Central Florida Division.
Q. What is important to your company right now?
A. AdventHealth’s priority is to provide exceptional and convenient whole-person care to residents across Central Florida no matter where they live. In order to do this, we do the work to invest in our team members as well as strengthen our connected network of care to grow along with the needs of the Central Florida community. Growth is vital for us, which is why we are proud of our new facilities like the recent opening of the AdventHealth Training Center, the AdventHealth Surgery Center at Mills Park and the AdventHealth Lake Mary Health Park, opening next year.
Q. Does your company have any fun Corporate 5k traditions?
A. We make sure we always commemorate team building moments like the SimplyIOA Corporate 5k presented by KeyHR. Our team photo is a fun way to capture our team spirit every year, and we always look forward to it.
Q. Describe your company culture.
A. Joining AdventHealth is about being part of something bigger. It’s about belonging to a community that believes in the wholeness of each person; and serves to uplift others in body, mind, and spirit. A community that commits to living our service standards, Love Me, Keep Me Safe, Make it Easy, and Own it, with every person, every time.

Q. What is your team most looking forward to by participating this year?
A. We love how this event creates an opportunity for us to come together from all the different campuses around Central Florida from different lines of work – and look forward to doing that again. As soon as you put the AdventHealth team shirt on and see the sea of team members in the same shirt, it immediately creates the sense of togetherness and family.
Q. Do you have any goals this year, such as largest team
A. As a participant in this event for many years, Team AdventHealth strives to provide a great experience for all our team members participating in the 5K. AdventHealth has been expanding in the recent years, and we would like to grow our running team each year as well. However, our only goal is to have a great time and support each other.
